  • Do you need a business license?
  • Is your MindSet helping you accomplish your business goals..? … or is it holding you back?
  • Why should I care about Autoresponders and How it can boost my business
  • How good CopyWriting can get you clients… and how bad copywriting can keep you hoping for clients

Watch the video below to explore some of these topics with E.G. Sebastian:

1. Adopt a Success Mindset & Develop Success Habits:

12 Habits of Successful Coaches
(pause the video when needed)

2. Spend an hour learning about Autoresponders:

You will find detailed instructions for most autoresponders on YouTube – just do a search on  the name of the autorespsonder (e.g. “How to set up autoresponder with ConstantConact.com”) — Most autoresponder providers have their own training videos.

!!! – Anytime you are stuck, YouTube is a great place to find answers AND you can always contact your autoresponder’s Customer Support and most will help you in a jiffy

  • www.Campaigns.Zoho.com – just discovered this FREE Email Campaign tool.  I’m unsure how it works at this time, but I’ll report back here in a few weeks with a tutorial video on it. I’m using several of the Zoho services – I trust that this will be/is a  great service too – here’s their pricing for upgraded accounts: http://www.zoho.com/campaigns/pricing.html
  • www.MadMimi.com – provides both beautiful newsletter formats and an autoresponder. It has a FREE version (without the autoresponder/drip campaign feature; though upgrading this one is THE BEST VALUE (as of this writing, only $10.00/month).  I know a few clients and friends who us this service and they are really pleased with it.

Mad Mimi Email Marketing

  • www.ConstantContact.com – provides a beautiful newsletter format (personally I did not find it easy to use — great customer support, though – Compare price with other providers)
  • www.aWebber.com – used by many successful coaches, authors, marketers, etc. (also great if you need to import a large database into it — I tend to recommend this service most of the time – a bit pricier than MadMimi, but there must be some reason why most serious marketers use this one)
  • www.MailChimp.com – FREE – never used it, but know several business owners who use it and are satisfied with it (if you can afford it, I highly recommend using one of the paid solutions – you usually get what you pay for; FREE often will mean either lower quality, poor tech support, or advertisement-supported — Just found out that MailChimp has several limitations — The free account does not allow setting up an autoresponder; and even if you upgrade, there can be glitches if you have multiple autoresponders. However, the FREE version is great if you only need a redirect to a Thank-you page or a Download page)
  • www.1ShoppingCart.com – Complete solutions for online business (this is what I use // $57/month for the basic package)
  •  www.imnicamail.com/plans-pricing/ – FREE autoresponder (for up to 1000 subscribers – seems to be about half the price of all other autoresponders.  I do know a few people who use it, but don’t know how it compares to the other providers)
  • www.egSebastian.hostthenprofit.com – ONLY $9.97/month – includes Autoresponder, Video Landing Page Generator, Webinar Platform, and much much more… Check it out! (I’ve never used it for autoresponder purposes, but I do see email messages coming to me from their system – which just means to me that it works 🙂 – they have lots of services for the low monthly fee – it’s worth looking into it)

*** – I do not endorse any of the above autoresponders – these are the ones that I’m familiar with OR seen friends or business associates use. Please do your own research and pick wisely.  (some of the above links are affiliate links)

  1. You’re so awesome! I don’t believe I’ve truly read through anything like that before.
So nice to discover someone with some original thoughts on this subject matter.
Seriously.. many thanks for starting this up. This site is something that is
required on the internet, someone with some originality!

  3. Hi, yeah this post is truly pleasant and I have learned
lot of things from it concerning blogging. thanks.

  4. Hello there, just became alert to your blog through Google, and found that it is really informative.
I’m going to keep coming back for more. I’ll appreciate if you continue this in future.
Many people will be benefited from your writing.

  5. E.G. I found out today that yes on list wire I can set up the "subscription form" and it will let me send out emails in intervals. So far I have to say that I'm digging list wire. I'm not a fan of some ad support (bottom of the verification page) but it gives me a list and. Can email in intervals all at no cost. I made a huge step forward today in learning more about Autoresponders. Thank you! Oh and I'm starting an 8 week e-Course as you recommended. 8 (7-12 min) recordings sent out weekly. I'm listening to all of your wisdom!!!

  6. "Email Blasts" is one thing… which is great (though I do cringe at the word "blast" 🙂 ) – the question is: Can you set up a series of messages that will be sent out automatically at intervals that you set up (weekly, every 3 days, or whatever you pick)???

  7. E.G.

I played around more with list wire.com (another free ad supported tool). I learned that I can alter the HTML so it doesn't say "get your free Autoresponder". I also found that I can do email blasts, so its a fully functional Autoresponder. I'm still liking zoho so as. Learn more i will be able to make a firm comparison

  8. Good question:

As far as I know, it should do both (though the new "wonder-kid" Zoho – might not create the opt-in form.

The short answer: Yes, an autoresponder service provides you both: ability to set up a sequence/series of emails that will be sent out automatically AND an opt-in form that you can easily place on your website.

Contact Zoho's tech support and ask them about it – they are really quick at replying. I also posted a link to the prices in Week 6 (zoho campaign upgrade prices)

let me know if you have any follow-up questions…

  9. EG. I think I need an Autoresponder for dummies book. Is an Autoresponder the back end stuff that sends out the follow up emails or the email capture tool or both?

  10. Heard about it, and till now I heard only good things.

We have a coach who is organizing local meetings through meetup and that's how he gets leads and clients.

There's a small monthly fee, though, to have your own group….

  11. thanks Eric for a great example of jow to put the skill into practice. I'm working on mine as we speak!

  12. E.G. Have you ever used Meetup.com? I know it sounds like a dating site but its not… Well the section I was on wasn't. I suggest everyone check it out. I found 3 really good networking events and potentially 2 speaking engagements to my TARGET MARKET!

  13. I really enjoyed this week’s content. The presentation on copywriting was excellent – I had purchased a long book on the topic but in the presentation it was short giving great info! Thanks.

    1. Glad you enjoyed this week’s content, and congrats for your commitment to deepening your knowledge in copywriting!!!!

Yes, Arfa gave us a great coverage – easy to understand and to follow – in this presentation. Though, it’s always a good idea to keep on studying it. It can make ALL the difference in the effectiveness of your website, emails, and all other marketing material. ACTUALLY, even your videos, teleclasses, etc. – as all of this can be applied to spoken material as well.

    2. (( Yehudit, do you want your picture on your profile? I can add it for you (can take it from LinkedIn). Let me know if you prefer NOT to have your pic.))

      1. I emailed you a picture from my facebook page. did you not receive it?

  14. Thanks for that feedback, Eric – you ROCK!!!

Jim Rohn used to say "Little hinges swing big doors" ; all these little changes will add up… and it's great seeing that you are already reaping the benefits of these little changes.

  15. E.G. Just to let you know, I put my copy on LinkedIn and had 8 profile views (from those in my target market) within 4 hours. Yes they aren't clients just yet but I need to see little wins to keep my eye focused strong on the greater prize! Just wanted to confirm that this 100 day challenge is working!

  16. Thanks for reposting your message here! 🙂

I just wanted everyone to see a great way to use good CopyWriting skills in your email. As I said in the video, if you learn a few basics of good copy writing, it can generate you lots of $$$s in the future…

My Feedback on the above email:

Yes, I was intrigued… and CONGRATS for taking the CopyWriting piece seriously – it can put lots of $$$s in your bank account.

Yes I was intrigued and as a manager would have clicked on the link. My "prediction" is that of 100 managers 20 would have clicked on it. To raise that number (and that's what true copywriting is about – always tweak your copy in a way that it gets higher response — that's why we do split-testing with different copies)… to raise that number I would have given a little more info – like a line more… then I would have wrote "Here are 7 best-practices that WILL reduce your turnover by 50% or more… Click HERE to Read On…" ("best-practices/ strategies/ or some other sexy word )intrigue them further — you showed them the pain.. now give them hope… They already knew about the pain, but 20 out of a 100 will click on it in the hopes that they'll find out how to reduce turnover; BUT if you add the "hope" part to your copy, 40 to 60 out of 100 will open your email).

  17. Here is an email I sent out to E.G. He asked that I repost for all of you as well. Feel free to send to all of your contacts! LOL!

SUBJECT: You could have a $50,000 Business Problem!

Did you know that you can save your business $25,000 to $50,000 in only 30 days?

According to a recent study conducted by CareerBuilder, 2 out of every 5 companies admitted that turnover costs them over $25,000 per employee. Another 25% admitted that employee turnover costs their company……… Continue Reading?

(E.G… I assure you this is not SPAM… Please don't put me in your no-no pile. I was inspired by this weeks video and tried my hand at copywriting)

My questions for you is this…

    1. Were you compelled?
    2. Did I Interrupt, Engage, Educate, and Inspire?
    3. Would you have clicked on "Continue Reading"?
    4. Would a business owner, executive, or business leader?
    5. Do you have any advice for me?

Thank you for not putting me on your "no-no" list.
